TFA co-sponsors new guide for evidence-based Autism interventions

Autism Spectrum Disorders: Guide to Evidence-based Interventions is the first publication of its kind, gathering critical information from six nationally recognized research reviews into one single, accessible source for both parents and professionals.

The Guide is the second publication of the Missouri Autism Guidelines Initiative, following the 2010 compilation of best practice guidelines for ASD screening, diagnosis and assessment. Backed by a grant from the Missouri Foundation for Health, both publications are available at no cost at www.autismguidelines.dmh.mo.gov.

The Missouri Autism Guidelines Initiative is a public/private partnership formed in 2008 to bring together parents and professionals with ASD experience working toward a common goal of improving outcomes for those with ASDs. The project is sponsored by the Thompson Foundation for Autism, Mercy Children’s Hospital in St. Louis and Springfield, the Missouri Department of Mental Health and the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education.
