The Thompson Center’s facility dog has been experiencing some health issues with his neck and back over the last year. It recently got worse and Rhett was taken to the MU Veterinary Health Center on New Year’s Eve for a mild disc compression in his neck. His pain is under control and Rhett is back to his happy, tail-wagging self, but he will need to rest for the next eight weeks in order to avoid surgery.
Rhett will spend the next few weeks with his home handler and lots of toys to keep him occupied! We will continue to provide updates on Rhett’s recovery. We know he wants to get back to the Thompson Center clinic as soon as possible to help the patients!
