The Thompson Foundation has NAP tax credits available to donors who support services at the Thompson Center. When you give toward these efforts, you will receive a tax credit equaling 50% of your gift. Combined with your federal and state charitable income tax deduction, this credit can lower the net cost of your donation.
Who is eligible?
The Missouri Neighborhood Assistance Act makes the NAP credit available to any person, firm or corporation with business income in the State of Missouri. Click here for a full eligibility list.
Contribution example for someone in the 35% federal tax bracket:
- Donation +$100,000
- Federal Tax Deduction (35%) ($35,000)
- State Tax Deduction (6%) ($6,000)
- State Tax Credit (50% of gift) ($50,000)
- Estimated Out of Pocket Expense: $9,000
The above example is not intended to represent tax advice. Please consult your tax advisor to learn how tax credits will benefit you specifically.
