Rhett celebrated his birthday this week! He is the facility dog at the Thompson Center for Autism and Neurodevelopment.
Rhett is a very hard worker, but also enjoys taking his vest off and being “off duty” for special occasions.
A facility dog provides emotional support to patients who visit a medical clinic. The dog can soothe a patient during an uncomfortable procedure, or calm someone who’s anxious about their appointment. Playing with a facility dog can also serve as a reward for a job well done. Rhett is well-loved by patients and staff at the Thompson Center!
