On September 27, Dr. Stephen Sheinkopf began his role as Executive Director of the Thompson Center for Autism & Neurodevelopment. Dr. Sheinkopf is joining the Thompson Center from The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University. He was also a staff clinical psychologist at Women & Infants Hospital and at Bradley Hospital.
Dr. Sheinkopf’s primary research interests include the identification of very early signs of autism in infancy, the development of social communication abilities in young children with autism, and neurodevelopmental outcomes in children exposed to drugs prenatally.
We’re excited about Dr. Sheinkopf’s experience as a clinician and researcher. We know he will guide the Thompson Center in its mission of providing excellent health, educational, and behavioral services for individuals with autism and other developmental conditions. Welcome, Dr. Sheinkopf!
